Short abstract from the book:Slavonian grebe has bred in the Faroes on a few occasions. It is a rare visitor on migration and in winter. Slavonian grebe has not been ringed in the Faroes. A chick ringed 24 July 1930 at Mývatn, Iceland was found dead on 24 November 1930 at Sandur, Sandoy 655 km SE of the ringing site.
