Short abstract from the book:
Short-eared owl is a rare visitor to the Faroes, most often seen May-July and September- November. One has been ringed, on 21 November 1998 on Nólsoy. A bird ringed as a chick on 23 July 1984 near Kirkwall, Orkney, was found dead on 22 April 1985 at Slættanes, Vágar, 427 km NNW of the ringing site.
