Short abstract from the book:
Osprey is a rare migrant in the Faroes, with 14 sightings up until 2009. One osprey has been ringed in the Faroes: The bird was found injured on 5 September 1988 in Kaldbak, Streymoy, and later released in Peterhead, Scotland. Three ospreys ringed abroad have been recovered in the Faroes. The first was ringed on 8 July 1980 in the Scottish highlands and found dead on 5 June 1982 on Suðuroy. The other two were ringed as juvenile in Sweden and found in the Faroes in May 2-4 years later.
