Short abstract from the book:Long-tailed duck is a common visitor in the Faroes throughout the year, but with fewer during the summer. Three long-tailed ducks have been ringed in the Faroes, two in 1935 and one in 1989. None of them has been recovered. A long-tailed duck ringed on 25 August 1935 at Mývatn in N Iceland was shot two months later (24 October) in Sandavágur, Vágar, 625 km SE of the ringing site.
