Short abstract from the book:
House martin is a sparse migrant and summer visitor to the Faroes and a rare breeding bird (five records). None has been ringed in the Faroes. A young bird ringed 1 August 1976 in Nallitjarvi in SW Finland was found 23 May 1977 on a ship three nautical miles E of Sandoy, 1,479 km W of the ringing site.
