Short abstract from the book:Grey heron is a rare but frequent visitor in the Faroes. None has been ringed in the Faroes, but ten birds ringed abroad have been recovered in the Faroes, nine from Norway and one from Denmark. All were ringed as chicks and half were recovered in the same calendar year as they had been ringed. The recoveries suggest that the majority of grey herons in the Faroes come from Norway.
