Short abstract from the book:Greenfinch is a rare visitor to the Faroes and has not been ringed there. A greenfinch ringed as an adult on 9 November 2008 in Veerle, Belgium was killed by a cat on 30 March 2009 in Tvøroyri, Suðuroy, 1,369 km NNW of the ringing site.
