Short abstract from the book:
Black-headed gull is a sparse breeding bird in the Faroes with approximately 150 pairs. The black-headed gull is a common migratory and winter visitor in the Faroes. 544 birds have been ringed in the Faroes, most at Starvatn, Nes, Eysturoy, in the late 1980s and 1990. Most (98.9%) were ringed as chicks. Nine Faroese ringed birds have been recovered, six from abroad. Two birds were recovered on direct autumn migration, one on Orkney, and one in Inverness, Scotland. There are two foreign ringed birds recovered in the Faroes, one from Ireland, and one from Finland.
